google ads case study

Project overview

A confidential e-commerce brand partnered with Thrive Marketing Gurus to accelerate online sales and scale customer acquisition. The client sought a strategic, ROI-focused approach to Google Ads that would drive high-volume e-commerce conversions within a tight budget.

The primary goal was to deliver scalable online revenue by optimizing ad spend, lowering cost-per-click, and increasing return on ad spend (ROAS). We developed a campaign strategy using Google Search and Performance Max campaigns, built around high-converting ad creatives, intelligent bidding, and optimized product targeting.

We ensured the ads aligned with the customer journey, from product discovery to purchase, making the campaign funnel efficient and profitable.

Challenges & constraints

The main challenges were maximizing online purchases while controlling ad spend and maintaining profitability.

Projects solution

We created a data-driven, conversion-focused campaign strategy that combined Google’s smart bidding technology, high-intent audience targeting, and visually optimized ads to maximize ROI. Performance Max campaigns played a central role, enabling cross-channel reach and automated delivery, while daily performance monitoring allowed us to make real-time adjustments. Remarketing helped convert returning users, and product-level optimizations ensured the most popular SKUs received priority.

This campaign generated over $368K in online revenue from 52,300 purchases, with an average CPC of $1.20 and a 4.48x ROAS. The campaign proved to be highly efficient and scalable for the e-commerce brand.

Revenue steadily increased month over month while maintaining profitability, making this one of the brand’s most successful paid media initiatives.
